Flying in from Abu Dhabi to see a Range Rover Sport. Anyone know a solid pre purchase inspection spot in Dubai?
I’ve been texting back and forth with a seller in Al Quoz about a 2017 Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic and on paper it looks exactly like what I’ve been searching for, low mileage and the right color combo with the extended leather pack. The guy sent me some videos and it sounds fine but we all know these JLR products can hide some absolutely wallet destroying issues if you don’t know exactly where to look. I’m planning to drive up this weekend to see it in person and I really want to arrange a proper Land Rover Pre Purchase Check Dubai before I even think about negotiating a price. I’m talking about the kind of inspection where they actually put it on a lift and check the timing chain rattle on cold start, the air suspension struts for leaks, and the service history to make sure the oil changes weren’t done at 20k intervals by someone who thought the computer knows best. I’ve heard too many stories of people buying a beautiful RRS only to find out the crossover pipes are cracked or the transmission has never had a fluid change in 100,000 kilometers. If anyone has a go to shop in Dubai that knows these L494s intimately and won’t just give me a generic pass or fail report, I’d really appreciate the lead before I make the drive up.
