Work based University project
Hi All,
I appreciate I have only just joined this community, and apologies if this isn’t allowed, but I’m a worked based distance learner who’s doing a top up degree whilst working and I’m in the final module of my degree. If there are any questions please feel free to get in touch
I am currently pursuing a research project titled “Investigating the advantages of digital twin technology and digital prototyping in the engineering design industry: A study to generate new insights and practical advancements” at the University of Lincoln Business School. The ethics reference number for this project is 20449.
The objectives of my research project are as follows:
- Evaluate the design efficiency process to ascertain if it can be streamlined.
- Compare traditional design methods against digital twin and prototyping approaches.
- Investigate the practical implementation of digital twin technology and digital prototyping within the engineering design industry, as well as find out how these technologies are integrated into design processes.
- Make recommendations based upon the findings.
As part of my project, I will be distributing a survey with a set of 12 question, ideally all 12 will be filled out to the best of your ability. Due to the fact of I don’t know many people who work with digital twin and or digital prototyping technology, I will be utilising various recruitment methods to gather more participants. I also request you forward this to anyone you know who has experience with these technologies as this would be highly appreciated.
Your help in this independent research paper will be greatly appreciated and will contribute significantly to the success of my overall research project.
If you wish to get hold of me for further questions, please feel free to contact me on here and I shall provide my email address, or alternatively it can be found on the last page of the survey.
