Digital Twin Skills Academy – deliver ‘lunch & learn’ to Housing Got Soul ……. !!
Really humbled to have extended my body of work and passion for greater ‘client facing’ adoption of digital twin solutions, earlier this week on the 29th January 2024.Â
Invited by the immediate past President of the Chartered Institute of Housing, Lara Oyedele PPCIH, I delivered an hour long ‘lunch & learn’ the Housing Got Soul Network, by way of an ‘An Introduction to Digital Twins for Social Housing’. I also made the point – just as I did during the Tech UK / DT Toolkit launch event held on 25.02.21 – that as a PQS, I remain solely committed to disrupting existing workflows and creating much needed value based outcomes. Inspired by the presence of the Building Safety Act [effective 1st October 2023] and by attempting to remodel ‘existing’ business-models’ my ambition is to help focus and support the sector in reducing its 35% ‘natural waste’ on OPEX, whilst simultaneously creating more evidence based ‘social-value’ through its public-sector, contract commissioning mandate.
The session was directly linked to and reflective of my body of work in the Social Housing space, spanning the last 25years, where I have practised on both sides of the fence; delivering Consultancy Services [as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor ‘PQS’] and between 2003 and 2018, operating as a Repairs & Maintenance Contractor, servicing the pan-London area; see the links below
