2 December 2021: The Global BIM Network to launch Roadmap for the Global Built Environment at its first General Assembly
On 2 Dec, the Global BIM Network will launch its Roadmap for the Global Built Environment at the First Annual Global BIM Network General Assembly, with the aim to foster more productive and more collaborative global digital construction sector that delivers benefits for people and places.
During the event, the Global BIM Network will launch its Roadmap promoting public sector leadership efforts to collaborate across borders and sectors on the critical opportunity of digitalisation in response to the pandemic and to drive inclusive growth through capacity building and knowledge transfer. This programme, delivered collectively by the Network, will amplify current bilateral and regional efforts to harmonise digital technical standards and promote the sharing of best practice for infrastructure policy, investment and procurement.
At the General Assembly, Global BIM Network’s members will share lessons learnt from national digital transformation initiatives, consider how governments can tackle challenges collaboratively with industry, and discuss the guidance, tools and evidence that will inform national and international policy on better infrastructure delivery. By increasing the capacity and capability of the public sector as client, the Network aims to encourage the global construction sector to achieve shared goals for COVID-19 recovery, net-zero and environmental sustainability, and socioeconomic prosperity.
