Skills and Capability
The National Digital Twin (NDT) programme is breaking down barriers to data sharing and one of the first steps taken is the development of the Information Management Framework (IMF) to drive effective information management across our nation’s built environment.
The IMF will enable an ecosystem of connected digital twins, the National Digital Twin (NDT) – where high-quality data about the built environment is shared securely, on a massive scale to improve decision making across the UK.
However, achieving the National Digital Twin is not just a technical challenge. It will require a workforce with the right skills to play their part in supporting the exchange of secure and resilient data across organisations, sectors and the entire built environment in order to make meaningful data-driven decisions.
That is why CDBB commissioned a two-fold project leading to the publication of a Skills and Competency Framework and a Capability Enhancement programme.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCY FRAMEWORK
The Skills and Competency Framework and the Capability Enhancement programme are a starting point in a journey to help individuals and organisations acquire the skills needed to make the National Digital Twin a reality.
