Lowered my car and now it rides like a skateboard – too stiff?
I recently installed lowering springs on my 2017 Volkswagen Golf GTI and while it looks amazing, the ride quality has become almost unbearable on Dubai roads. Every little bump feels like a massive impact and my back hurts after driving for 30 minutes. I kept the original shocks because a friend said they’d be fine with just a mild drop. Now I’m wondering if that was a mistake. I think I need a proper setup with matching shocks or maybe even coilovers. I’m looking for a flawless strut and spring service Dubai that can recommend a setup that’s low but still comfortable enough for daily driving. I saw Dynostar’s suspension page and they mention custom setups. Has anyone here lowered their car and regretted using stock shocks? Did upgrading to performance dampers make a big difference in comfort? Also how much should I budget for a proper shock and spring combo installed? I love the look but I can’t live with the pain much longer. Thanks for any advice from fellow car enthusiasts.
