  • To start the discussion off – Your talk provides details of the two pilot locations. I understand that the areas were selected to allow the pilot to build on existing work in these areas. My assumption would be that there may be some differences between the very dense urban environment in London boroughs to a wider region of the North West of England. Did the different locations result in any different findings that will be applied to NUAR going forward?

The Slingshot Simulations website has an excellent ongoing blog series on the topic of digital twins

@David McKee are there any other resources you would recommend to people looking to understand more about the topic?

An open question to all in the discussion, particularity anyone online that hasn’t posted yet. Which part of David’s presentation interested you the most, and what key insights will you be taking away to apply to your own work on digital twins?

To better understand maturity toward digital twins and the National Digital Twin programme CDBB have recently launched an extension to the Smart Infrastructure Index. This is currently open to DT Hub members from asset owning organisations until 31st August.

@David McKee – How have you seen maturity towards digital twins develop in the built environment? In your opinion, in what areas would increased maturity accelerate the delivery of the National Digital Twin?

@David McKee early in your talk you mention your world first simulation of a data center and the outcome that it achieved in terms of energy footprint. From your work what do you see as the key high value use cases for digital twins?

@KReevesDigi – In your talk you mention The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). Can you recommend any online resources for people that would like to learn more?

An open question to all in the discussion. Has Kevin’s presentation reinforced, extended or perhaps changed any of your views on digital twins and the integrated enterprise? I would particularly like to hear from any guests (not yet a DT Hub member) who are online, what will you be taking away from the talk today?

@KReevesDigi your approach uses the Gemini Principles. Do you have any examples of how the Gemini Principles have helped Costain to be successful, and as a follow-up are there any examples where you’ve experienced push-back against any of the principles?

To better understand maturity toward digital twins and the National Digital Twin programme CDBB have recently launched an extension to the Smart Infrastructure Index. This is open to DT Hub members from asset owning organisations. @KReevesDigi in your experience where are organisations typically most mature when it comes to digital twins and where do they benefit most from additional support?
