About Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities Digital Planning Programme

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) supports communities across the UK to thrive, making them great places to live and work. DLUHC is a ministerial department, supported by 16 agencies and public bodies. The Department’s Digital Planning programme aims to enable a modern and efficient planning system in England. The programme is core to DLUHC’s planning reforms and will help shift a documents-based system to one that is data-driven and standards-based. The PropTech Innovation Fund was launched in 2021 to support the widespread adoption of Property Technology (PropTech) tools and services within the planning process. The Fund works directly with funded local authorities and their technology partners, as well as collaborating with industry partners to shape and co-design digital planning outcomes that meet the needs of all stakeholders. Some of the content shown on this page is the result of these collaborations.
