Information Management Frameworks – what is the current state of the art
I’m working on a project looking at implementing a farm digital twin and I’m wondering what the current state of the art is around IMFs. I have found a couple of documents including the NOC IMF for Environmental Digital Twins and CDBB. However, a lot of the content of these seems to be roadmaps with recommendations and its unclear what concrete resources exist. For example the NOC IMF recommends use of Asset Commons, standard upper ontologies, registries etc and aligned with UK DRI strategy. But do these things actually exist yet?
How are other people doing / using IMFs to fit within a broader national digital context. I can see there are common principles to be followed, articulated by Gemini, but I’m not sure where to start for the practical implementation to conform to wider community expectations re ontology use, metadata descriptors etc.
