The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) are a key partner in the CReDo project (Climate Resilience Demonstrator) and have played a key supporting role in studying potential data science approaches that could help shape CReDo decision support capabilities in the future.

The CReDo project is currently being developed with a strategic planning and investment use case at its core, whereby providing cross-sector insights to asset owners, better decision making in investment resilience can be made maximising the impact of these.

A key part of how CReDo can generate value in the future is ultimately dependant on having fit-for-purpose decision support features as part of the system. This document is exploring technical options that could be used to develop better decision support in subsequent phases of the project. The methodologies described in this document should not be taken as a declaration of intentions of how CReDo will further develop, but as a purely exploratory foundation from which to generate future ideas that will allow the project team and asset owners to streamline discussions on how the project should develop decision support capabilities in the future to unlock impact in the infrastructure sector in the UK.

To learn more about the decision support methodologies, metrics and concepts that were explored during the second phase of the project, please refer to this document.
