More information on the role:
The Digital Twin hub
The Digital Twin Hub (DT Hub) (https://digitaltwinhub.co.uk/) is a collaborative web-enabled community for those who own, develop or are interested in digital twins and connected digital twins. The DT Hub is a core focus for the connected digital twin team at CPC. The DT Hub acts as the main channel for engaging with a large membership including industry, government and academic representatives. The DT Hub hosts 4850+ members from 2300+ organisations based in 80+ countries. The current sectors represented include primarily the built environment, energy, transport, water and telecoms, and the ambition is to grow this to include new sectors.
CPC works with large and small technology companies, infrastructure asset owners, international, national, and local government entities and others in supporting the development, scaling and application of digital twins. Working together with the broader DT Hub community – we have big plans for the DT Hub, to scale connected digital twins globally by supporting collaborative demonstrator projects, shared standards, cross-sector learning and sharing, and new partnerships between buyers and digital twin technology suppliers.
Purpose of the role
The Connected Digital Twins team at CPC works across a diverse project portfolio and technology areas in support of domains like rail, automotive, aviation (air mobility and airports), maritime and logistics, integrated infrastructure, homes and housing and place leadership.
As places become more populated and connected, and respond to emergent agendas around net zero, regional economic growth, and more there is an ever increasing need to make use of data for better decision making and to underpin new technological innovations. From supporting local authorities and central government to make better use of data, to building digital twins that improve the global transport sector, our projects demonstrate the art of the possible and pull technical ideas through to an applied setting. We take an enabling role in the innovation ecosystem – often working with new businesses to support an emerging product or service or acting as thought leaders.
