About the DT Hub

The DTHub has been created by The Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) as part of the UK Government-led National Digital Twin programme (NDTp).

We’ve built the DTHub as a space for digital twin owners and suppliers, as well as information management experts, to come together and collaboratively enable this world-leading vision.

The DTHub will connect you with other experts and innovators and provide the opportunity to help shape the future of the built environment in the UK. It’s a space to share insight and experience, but also to gain further knowledge and seek guidance, on elements such as the Gemini Principles and the our Information Management Framework, where needed.

The National Digital Twin Programme

The UK is establishing itself as a world leader in the development and application of digital twin technology. A significant milestone was reached in July 2018, when HM Treasury launched the National Digital Twin programme (NDTp), hosted by the University of Cambridge.

The NDTp has a mandate from Government to fulfil recommendations set out in the National Infrastructure Commission’s 2017 Data for the Public Good Report. The report underlines the importance of creating a National Digital Twin (NDT) to increase infrastructure resilience, reduce disruption and delays, optimise our use of resources and boost quality of life for citizens.
