Who are you?  Heading up the Growth and Innovation team for DNV in the UK & Ireland. Have a specific focus on growing our digital twin advisory and assurance services in the region, working with customers on early-stage DT concepts and projects using the methodology that we've built into a recommended practice (aka whitepaper).

What is your industry and profession?  We are an independent third-party provider of advisory and assurance services with a specific focus on Energy Systems. We work with the oil, gas, power and renewable sectors in order to assist our customers in accelerating the energy transition.

Where do you plan to use your new Digital Twin Knowledge? Personally/professionally?  At DNV, we are currently supporting organizations that are developing digital twins in addition to conducting independent assessments of the digital twins provided by suppliers. Our aim is to help companies trust that the outputs of digital twin components (data, data quality, sensor systems, algorithms etc) meet real world challenges, provide ROI and embed a culture that treats a digital twin as a real asset.

Why have you decided to join the DTHub?  This is a great platform for sharing, connecting, and collaborating.

Have you participated in any of our meetups, or events?  I've joined a couple of Gemini calls.

Do you have any examples of work that you have done using Digital Twins?  Yes - our new recommended practice has been tested in several pilot studies and is currently being applied by companies like Equinor and Cognite. We're in the process of compiling some case studies for DT Hub, which we'll share soon!

Hi Everyone,

How rude of me to post and not introduce myself

Who are you?

Chartered Engineering working for General Dynamics UK, with experience of general data “collaborativeness”, is that a word? I work with information systems and services, including their design and development, implementation, delivery and management.

What is your industry and profession?

Defence sector, Information and Knowledge Management Lead. I have worked in the sector for 17 years; I have an IT background, but primarily work on Logistics and Support systems and services for our Delivery Teams.

Where do you plan to use your new Digital Twin Knowledge?

Digital Twining the USS Enterprise (thinking emoji) working in support of the programmes we have. I would like to look at Digital Twinning the MOD supply chain.....to big?

Why have you decided to join the DTHub?

I met, although very briefly Alexandra Robasto (thinking emoji) on a Team Defence Information call, we were talking about Data Capture and Mapping.

Have you participated in any of our meetups, or events?

Through Team Defence.  Not heard much about DTs, neither have many of my IT colleagues and they are in vastly different sectors than me. John Ahmet Erkoyuncu chaired the call but really enjoyed the concept and real world implementations of the capability. We answered a  few questions which I hope will cause conversation on the forum (Thinking emoji) although I cannot recall them.

Do you have any examples of work that you have done using Digital Twins?

None
