SUMMARY:Transforming Transport: a Net Zero Showcase (Mobility Data Exchange)
DESCRIPTION:Insights Into Improved Performance of Public Transport With Data And Analytics Innovation\n22nd October 1.30pm – 3.30pm\nIncludes a keynote address from Simon Warburton\, WYCA’s Executive Director of Transport \nReliable and efficient public transport is a key element in the UK and West Yorkshire’s commitment to decarbonisation and net zero. In this free to attend insight sharing and networking event you will learn: \n– about the results from a groundbreaking 6 month innovation project\, funded by Innovate UK\, and involving WYCA\, Slingshot Simulations\, and IOTICS\, focused on using data and advanced analytics to provide new insights into bus performance across the region in a fraction of the time compared with current practice \n– how bus data was contextualised with external data (public and private including weather\, events\, road traffic\, sensors\, socio-economics and more) in a secure and managed way without duplication to enable multi-stakeholder insights spanning different organisations \n– that the approach is extensible to other use cases (beyond the bus) and geographically scalable to regions and operators within West Yorkshire and beyond a Q&A with the teasm to explore how the outcomes of the innovation can be applied. \n  \nhttps://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/transforming-transport-a-net-zero-showcase-mobility-data-exchange-tickets-1054663871029?aff=oddtdtcreator

SUMMARY:1Spatial - GeoIM for Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:This exciting free conference will dive into the world of advancements in data and digital technologies that are reshaping our economy and the way we live. Be part of the conversation on how Geospatial Information Management (GeoIM) is pivotal for infrastructure\, ensuring integrated\, high-quality data can be trusted by all stakeholders. Don’t miss this opportunity to dive deeper into the future of infrastructure and register now! \nInfrastructure for transport\, energy\, water\, flood risk management and digital communications are becoming smarter\, thanks to approaches like digital twins\, machine learning and artificial intelligence. These innovations drive efficiency and optimise the utilisation of our nation’s infrastructure\, aligning with national policy objectives such as transforming infrastructure performance\, economic levelling up\, and the transition to Net Zero. Information Management plays a pivotal role in this transformation. It involves providing integrated and high-quality data at the right time\, in a format trusted by all parties involved. \nA review of the UK Government “Transforming Infrastructure Performance Information Management Mandate” commenced in 2024. The aim is to ensure a new mandate is relevant and achievable across the whole of the built and managed environment both now and for the future. A Construction Leadership Council Task Group are working to launch the refreshed approach and the means for implementing this in Autumn 2024. This conference will touch on the release of the mandate and the opportunities for transforming infrastructure performance enabled by GeoIM. \nTo register: https://1spatial.com/news-events/events-and-webinars/sdsw-2024-tour/smarter-data-smarter-world-2024-featuring-geoim-for-infrastructure/#Register

SUMMARY:Digital Twin 2024
DESCRIPTION:CALL FOR PAPERS \nThe 2024 IEEE International Conference on Digital Twin (DigitalTwin 2024)\nDenarau Island\, Fiji\, December 2-7\, 2024\nhttps://www.ieee-smart-world.org/2024/digitaltwin/ \nDigital twin\, as a recent iconic phrases of fashions\, has been coined and broadened somewhat in that it is now being extensively applied\, or rather used\, to characterize a variety of digital simulation models that run alongside real-time processes that pertain to social and economic systems as well as physical systems since its inception. It is even conceivable that latency between when data is received from the basic system and when the users closest to the system can use is often short enough to enable good corrective actions. Progress towards digital twins will surely enable us to gain ever deeper insights into the nature of reality and its virtual form. How close we can get to the real thing is a collective exploration we are about to embark upon as a society. \nThe 2024 IEEE International Conference on Digital Twin will provide a high-profile\, leading-edge forum for researchers\, engineers\, and practitioners to present state-of-art advances and innovations on Digital Twin\, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future of Digital Twin. We seek submissions of papers which invent new techniques\, introduce innovative methodologies\, and propose new research directions in advanced digital twin theories\, methods\, implementations\, and applications. \nTRACKS:\n– Digital Twin Fundamentals\n– Digital Twin Interaction and Communication\n– Digital Twin Security and Privacy\n– Digital Twin Systems and Applications \nIMPORTANT DATES:\n– Workshop Proposal: April 01\, 2024\n– Paper Submission: July 15\, 2024\n– Author Notification: September 15\, 2024\n– Camera-Ready Submission: October 15\, 2024 \nAll accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings\, through the IEEE Xplore Digital Library (EI indexed). At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and present their work at the conference. Best paper awards will be presented at the conference. Selected high quality papers will be nominated to publish at high-quality journal\, after further extensions and revisions.

SUMMARY:Digital Twins for Senior Leaders' course
DESCRIPTION:From the Digital Twin Hub in partnership with Cranfield University. \nStarts on Thursday 23 January 2025 and runs for 8 weeks every Thursday \nThe course runs across 8 weeks with 16 hours of active learning (remote lectures delivered in real time and recorded for catch-up)\, and a strategic discussion forum with the cohort. Sessions are online\, lasting one-and-a-half hours\, once a week. \nDigital Twins for Senior Leaders is part of a suite of learning opportunities to give individuals and organisations the knowledge and confidence to introduce digital twins. \nIt is unique in being founded on the Gemini Principles\, scoped alongside asset owners and operations and delivered by the DT Hub and Cranfield in association with policy makers\, industry associations\, academic experts and practitioners. \nIt is designed for leaders engaged in roles that will influence decision-making to realise digital transformation and organisational change. They will be the enablers and subsequent end-users of digital twin systems\, or the translators of digital twin capabilities\, rather than those creating the digital twins. \nThis industry training is relevant to innovators working in asset owner and operator organisations as well as suppliers and consultants\, and suits company or sector-specific cohorts and/or individuals. You can also enquire about custom programmes for organisations. \nRegister for the course
